Herbal Medicines for Bleeding Nose
Epistaxis is the medical term for bleeding from the nose. Nose
bleeding can be frightening especially during an accident but fortunately, these
can be managed at home using herbal medicines. That is if there are no major
injuries sustained from the accident otherwise medical intervention should be

Causes
of Nose Bleeding.
The most causes of epistaxis in young people are not known
unless as a result of picking of the nose or injury such as a trauma to the
face. Nose bleeding can also occur spontaneously when the nasal membranes dry out
and crack which is common in dry seasons and cold weather. These conditions occur more
in young persons. In older patients, rarely high blood pressure can cause
epistaxis, especially if the diastolic pressure is more than 110 mm/Hg. High
exposure to heat sources such as the sun or fire also leads to bleeding.
Herbal Medicines and Dosage.
1. The patient should wash his face and head with cold
water.
2. Ice pack should be applied from the outside of the nose.
3. One should not sneeze or put any type of strain on the nose which aggravates bleeding.
4. Juice from pomegranate flower should be used for deep inhalation.
5. Extracted juice from durva grass with
5 to 10 drops in each nostril gives immediate relief.

Do’s and Don’ts.
The patient or person
who has a history of bleeding should avoid all hot and spicy things
eatable. He should maintain normal blood-pressure. He should not remain awake

You have provided some great tips here for healing nose bleeds. Another thing I think is easy to incorporate is a change of diet to include more of the vitamins that improve the strengthen and health of the nasal membranes; these are things like zinc, vitamin K, and vitamin C.

Particularly in regards to cancer, I read that frequent nosebleeds can also indicate a rare case of cancer. What do you think of this? Is it true?
