The Benue State gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general elections, Prince Terhemen Tarzoor, has approached the Supreme Court to appeal the decision of the Court of Appeal. In a nine grounds notice of appeal signed by the senior legal counsel to the appellant, J O Adesina SAN, filed on November 26, 2015, at the Appeal Court, Makurdi Division, for onward transmission to the apex court, the appellant expressed dissatisfaction with the entire ruling of the lower court.

Dissatisfied by last week's dismissal of his suit challenging the victory of Governor Samuel Ortom at the Court of Appeal, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Benue State in the last general elections, Dr. Terhemen Tarzoor, has said he would approach the Supreme Court for final arbitration on the matter. In a statement issued yesterday in Makurdi by his Press Secretary, Mr. Terhemen Hwande, the governorship candidate expressed displeasure at what he described as the 'questionable ground' upon which his appeal was dismissed.

The reported death of the APC candidate in the Kogi State Governorship elections, Prince Abubakar Audu, on this day Sunday, November 22nd, 2015 is extremely shocking and sad. I would like to  express my condolences to the entire family of Audu and to the people of Kogi State. However, the real question agitating the minds of everybody is the legal implication regarding the inconclusive Governorship elections at the time of his demise.
