Benue PDP Gubernatorial Aspirant Tarzoor Heads to Supreme Court
Dissatisfied by last week's dismissal of his suit challenging the victory of Governor Samuel Ortom at the Court of Appeal, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Benue State in the last general elections, Dr. Terhemen Tarzoor, has said he would approach the Supreme Court for final arbitration on the matter.
In a statement issued yesterday in Makurdi by his Press Secretary, Mr. Terhemen Hwande, the governorship candidate expressed displeasure at what he described as the 'questionable ground' upon which his appeal was dismissed.
Tarzoor was quoted as stating that his decision to resort to the judiciary for legal interpretation as to who was constitutionally qualified by law to be a candidate of a political party in an election was in the best interest of the country's democratic experience and promised not to compromise his position for any reason.
