Eminem and Jay Donate Funds to Sean Price Family

Two popular talented and most respected artist Jay Z and Eminem were recently recognized for their generosity in donating cash to late Sean Price's family. Sean Price who passed on August 8, 2015 was an American rapper and a member of the underground Hip Hop Boot Camp Click.


Sean Price died at the age of 43 leaving behind his wife and three children. His passing continues to linger on the minds of hip hop heads everywhere. While several figures in the community have come forward to lend their support. According to BET.com, below is a caption of a letter written from his beloved friend.

A LETTER TO SEAN PRICE FROM A FRIEND

Dru Ha, the founder of his home label Duck Down, wrote a beautiful eulogy for his lost friend and revealed that Jigga made "a very generous donation to Sean's fund." The exact amount has not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, HipHopDX reports that Eminem gave Price's family $10,000 last week. Peter Rosenberg, Em's manager, spoke highly of the passed MC in an interview with AllHipHop, saying, "I swear I just told Marshall [Eminem] on Thursday that Sean was my current favorite. I hung on every word in his verses."

The fund, thus far, has raised up to $87,753. Despite his untimely death, Sean's music lives on with his posthumous album Songs In the Key of Price officially dropping since Aug. 21. It is currently available on iTunes for $7.99.
