World filthiest bikini suit have been unveiled and it is revealed that, this bikini suit absorbs pollution from the sea. I just wonder what this means. According to the designers of this new hi-tech bikini swim suit, that the world's ocean are full of pollution, and the swim suit could help combat the dirty inside the seas.
The Sponge Suit bikini has been designed to absorb pollutants as wearers splash about in the water.
It's made from a material that absorbs everything except water and it can soak up to 25 times its own weight in dirt.
Whilst its makers aren't expecting one swim suit to solve the pollution problems across the globe, they say it does show the effectiveness of these types of materials. Speaking about the invention Mihri Ozkan told CNET: "This is a super material that is not harmful to the environment and very cost effective to produce,"
The bikini can be used up to 20 times The clever eco-friendly bikini is 3D printed from flexible plastic, called elastomer. This material is incredibly light and comfortable to wear.
Once printed, a special pollutant sucking Sponge is insert into the bikini and can be reused up to 20 times without losing its absorbency. The sponge traps contaminants, so they don't come into contact with the wearer's skin making it totally safe.
According to the team behind the project this design could be developed in to a host of different water-based outfits. We're just not sure what you do with them once they're full of filth. It's hoped the special swim wear will help keep the oceans clean
