Over 1.5m JAMB candidates to start CBT exams tomorrow
According to Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), over 1.5 million candidates registered for the 2016 examination and some of the registered JAMB candidates will commence writing their examination tomorrow.
JAMB Registrar Dibu Ojerinde made this remark in a statement yesterday. The Prof. said, the examination which will hold simultaneously in 521 centers in Nigeria and 8 foreign centers will start tomorrow February 27, 2016.
The foreign centers expected to host candidates for the exams includes: Accra in Ghana, Buea in Republic of Cameroon, Cotonou in Republic of Benin, London in United Kingdom; Jeddah in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Johannesburg in Republic of South Africa, Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and Abidjan in Cote d'Ivoire. The exams is expected to last for 14 days.
He said the minimum cut-off points approved by the policy committee in agreement with the ministry of education was 180 marks but however, institutions are at their liberty to go higher than the 180 depending on their standard of admitting candidate and it does not infringe on the powers of the Board.
