Cause of Senator Isiaka Adeleke's death revealed
Senator Isiaka Adeleke's death has been blamed on painkiller overdose.There was suspicion that he was poisoned. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. The cause of death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke has been revealed by a medical pathologist after an autopsy was carried out.
NAIJ.com had reported that the first civilian governor of Osun state died of heart attack and was rushed to Bikets Hospital where he passed away on Sunday, April 23.
His death sparked outrage in his hometown where youths claimed he was poisoned by his political opponents. According to Sahara Reporters however, the medical pathologist who carried out the autopsy on the late senator said he died as a result of overdose of painkillers.
“Senator Isiaka Adeleke died as a result of an overdose of painkillers intravenously administered on him, according to pathologists.” An angry mob has reportedly disrupt the burial of Senator Isiaka Adeleke which is currently ongoing today, April 24, in Osun state. The mob reportedly collapsed a canopy on Amosun, Akeredolu, Oyinlola to chase out Idiat Babalola, who is a commissioner nominee of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Babalola and other dignitaries were chased out from under a canopy by the youths who alleged that the former governor was poisoned by some APC leaders. Problem started when Babalola was sighted by the mourners who demanded that she should be sent out.
The mob reportedly insisted that Babalola should leave the burial ceremony and they refused to listen to pleas by all dignitaries seated under the same canopy. They reportedly started shaking the canopy where Governors Ibikunle Amosun, Rotimi Akeredolu, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Deji Adeleke were seated to chase out Babalola who they described as a betrayer.
