Senator Isiaka Adeleke's death has been blamed on painkiller overdose.There was suspicion that he was poisoned. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. The cause of death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke has been revealed by a medical pathologist after an autopsy was carried out. NAIJ.com had reported that the first civilian governor of Osun state died of heart attack and was rushed to Bikets Hospital where he passed away on Sunday, April 23.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who died on Sunday April 23, has been laid to rest. He was buried in his country home, Ede, Osun state according to Muslim rites. Osun state House of Assembly has declared Monday to Wednesday as mourning period in honour of the late senator. The first Civilian Governor of Osun state, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who died on Sunday April 23, has been buried. Adeleke who was a serving senator and a three-term senator elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015, died at the age of 62. He was buried today, April 24, in his country home, Ede, Osun state according to Muslim rites.

The Nigerian police, Bauchi command, has arrested a notorious Boko Haram commander. The suspect was identified as 25 year-old Muhammad Adamu Nafiu. Nafiu reportedly confessed to killing of over 150 people in Baga local government, Borno state The Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Bauchi command, has announced the arrest of a 25 year old Boko Haram commander identified as Muhammad Adamu Nafiu. NAIJ.com learnt that the Bauchi state commissioner of police, Garba Baba Umar, in a statement on Wednesday, April 19, said Nafiu is a notorious Boko Haram leader, who ran away from Sambisa forest after it was taken over by the Nigerian army.

A Boko Haram terrorist from Sambisa forest was arrested in Adamawa. The terrorist said he has killed only 10 persons since he joined the dreaded group. A suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Amos Hassan, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Adamawa. Vanguard reports that Mr Aliyu Musa who is the state commandant of the corps made this revelation on Wednesday, April 19.
